The Director of Nursing Services is responsible for planning, operating, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing department in accordance with state, federal and local regulations. This position requires working collaboratively within the organization to promote the mission, vision and values of Leeway, Inc. Leading, coaching and developing the skills of the nursing service team (including RN’s, LPN’s, and C.N.A.’s) in order to deliver the highest quality of care and services to the residents we serve is essential. The Director of Nursing Services will also develop new clinical programs that support our organization’s strategic direction, establish and maintain policies, effectuate CQI initiatives and provide direct administrative and technical supervision of nursing services.
candidate will possess the following:
A degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
A current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut
Long-term care management experience
The ability to deal tactfully with employees, residents, doctors and family members with a passion for leading and supervising personnel
Must possess knowledge of the current state and federal laws that pertain to practice as a Registered Nurse and the Long Term Care Industry
